This workshop is aimed at enabling you to perform routine servicing tasks that will help ensure your sewing machine will continue to operate reliably, extend its service life and save you money.
This is a practical hands-on course which means you bring the machine you want to service to the workshop. The machine you bring must be an operating sewing machine that you feel is in need of a service and would like to learn how to do it.
Our tutor Roger is a retired aircraft maintenance engineer and an experienced technical trainer. Upon retirement, he started servicing sewing machines almost by accident- some would say out of desperation. Now, after having successfully serviced and repaired many sewing machines and overlockers of various brands and models, Roger is pleased to participate with Here and There Makers Hub to enable others to gain the basic skills needed to help maintain their machines.
