Dill ”Common” Heirloom Seeds
Dill is an annual herb, belonging to the celery family, that is grown for both its leaf foliage and dried seed. It is suited to both cool and warm season planting, however it needs to get set outside the more severe parts of those seasons.
When to plant
Zone 1: March - April + October - December
Zone 2: March - June + September - November
Zone 3: April - September
Zone 4: June - July
Soil A couple of weeks prior to planting, prepare the soil by incorporating a high level of organic matter, such as compost and well-rotted animal manure.
Soil pH Level 5.5–7.5
How to Plant Use a free draining soil well integrated with compost or good quality potting mix when growing in pots. Propagate in a mini greenhouse when it is too hot or cold, and then transplant once conditions become more suitable. Prone to bolting to seed, make sure to keep well hydrated and out of the direct, hot sun.
Companion Plants all Brassicas, Lettuce, Cucumber
Position Full sun preferred when growing in winter, partial shade is otherwise best

How does it work?From the Shopping Cart Page:
- If you're wanting Store Pickup and you're using any payment method other than "Shop Pay" it's best to press the "Checkout" button. GPay will not allow you to select the pickup option. If you choose Paypal Express on the shopping cart page it will default to shipping but you can press "change" on the shipping confirmation screen and then select "pickup".
Then Select "Pickup"
- When your order is ready for collection, you will receive a "Ready for Pickup" notification via mail or text, depending on the option chosen.
- Come to the store during our opening hours
- For contactless, when you arrive please call our number 0434 007 743 - make sure you bring your order number with you. We will bring your order out to you.
Making it a Gift
When checking out, you have the option of nominating your order as a gift. Note that this applies to the whole order.
We will place a message with the gift, and substitute a "priceless" gift receipt for our regular invoice receipt.
